The Faculty of Geology and Mines is one of the most important and fundamental faculties in the national economy of the country, which presents expert staffs dressed with Islamic and national spirit to the society.

History of the Faculty of Geology and Mines:

The Faculty of Geology and Mining was approved and started functioning in the year 1399 based on the number (5) resolution of the Supreme Council of Higher Education dated 15/7/139.

This faculty was created for the purpose of training young staffs (Geological Engineers), who have a special role in the country's economy and industry.

The teachers of this faculty, according to their religious and national feeling, are making tireless efforts to improve the academic level of the students with great love and enthusiasm.

 

The Vision:

The Faculty of Geology and Mines is committed to training young professionals (engineer geologists) to play an important role in the prosperity and development of the society, taking into account the needs of the society and the market.

Utilizing the skills and experience of geology and mining professionals can play a productive role in the stability of the country's economy and industry.

The Mission:

The Faculty of Geology and Mines, like other faculties, trains professionals and specialized personnel in the field of exploration, exploration, exploitation, process and marketing of minerals, in order to play a constructive role in the development of the country's national economy.
