Introduction

For any society, education plays a vital role and is also considered its backbone. Governments and other educational contexts are also responsible for delivering quality educational services to their citizens in this respect under the country's prevailing rules and regulations. Thus, the Department of Mathematics of the Logar Institute of Higher Education, One aspect of the Ministry of Higher Education is committed to providing high-quality services through the use of the facilities available to the younger generation of the country, in particular to the students themselves.

The vision of the Department of Mathematics

Enhancing the capacity of the faculty members and establishing this department as an outstanding institution within the faculty of education of the Logar Institute of Higher Education to train academic, professional, and specialized staff in accordance with the needs of society in the Islamic, national and humanitarian spirit.

Existence of the Department of Mathematics Based on Academic and Social Needs

One of the core sections of the Logar Institute of Higher Education is the Mathematics Department. More to the point, it lets the younger generation get more trained faculty members to serve the country and the nation.

As the young generation of Logar Province, particularly sisters were unable to get higher education in mathematics due to unusual tradition and societal boundaries. Fortunately, at right now they could study up to the bachelor's level in mathematics after 1393 with the establishment of the mathematics department in this higher education institute. In the coming years, these cadres will help to fill in all the gaps in the education system of this province.

In addition, research in higher education is more important, it will help us write down research papers and hold conferences to enable others to learn from these studies. Mathematics research is considered one of society's fundamental needs. It gets rich from one side, and the country's young generation is intrinsically inspired to be interested in academic development from the other side.

Background of the Department of Mathematics

With the establishment of the educational faculty, the Physics-Mathematics Department of the Logar Institute of Higher Education was established by the 575 number proposal of the Ministry of Education on 13/12/1393, as well as by the 1200 number decree of the Presidency on 20/2/1393, which had four cadres and began the activity with 12 male students.

On the basis of its 165 number proposal on 25/3/1394, the Logar Institute of Higher Education required the Directorate of Acting and Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education to split these two faculties, luckily on the basis of the 114 number decree of the Ministry of Higher Education on 9/4/1394 as well as on the basis of the Academic Board's decision on 8/4/1394, with having three members of the cadre begin its activity.

A number of students graduated from the Math-Physics Department, in 1396 seventeen students graduated, but in 1397 thirty-six students graduated.

In 1398, 45 students were able to graduate from the Physics Department, at that time the Physics Department was segregated from the Mathematics Department. Among these graduates’ 3 were females and the surplus males.

There are four academic cadres in the Mathematics Department, one of which has studied up to master's degree level, and two more have been sent out of the country for a master's degree, and one will also be sent out of the county in the near future for having master's degree.

More significantly, 216 students are currently studying in the Department of Mathematics of the Logar Institute of Higher Education.
