Agriculture Faculty
Brief Introduction of the Faculty of Agriculture
The Faculty of Agriculture at Logar Higher Education Institution was established in 2019 (1398 Hijri Shamsi) with two departments: Agronomy and Agricultural Economics & Development. It began its academic and administrative activities with six faculty members. Since its inception, despite various economic, political, social, and security challenges, the faculty has continued the process of properly educating the country’s youth. From these two departments, hundreds of young professionals equipped with specialized knowledge and skills have graduated and been introduced into society.
In addition to its main academic and administrative building, the faculty also has an agricultural farm, laboratory, and library. Currently, 209 students from various provinces are enrolled, and the faculty has 11 academic staff members, of whom 4 are pursuing their master’s degrees inside or outside the country. Additionally, five administrative and support staff serve the faculty. Students from both departments study general agricultural subjects during the first four semesters and then continue with their specialized departmental courses in the final four semesters.
